Coronary Artery Calcium Scoring

Coronary Artery Calcium Scoring is a non-invasive CT exam used to detect coronary heart disease (atherosclerosis)
or calcium build-up in the coronary arteries of the heart.
The amount of calcium present is related to your risk for a heart attack.

High blood pressure


High cholesterol (greater than 240 mg/dl)

Family history of heart disease


Male over 40 years old

Female over 45 years old

for example 01/10/06 and 03/30/06

Please understand that this exam should not be performed on individuals who have previous history of heart attack or heart surgery.
